Dol Guldur is a labyrinth of tight hallways and open courtyards. The Necromancer’s Gate marks the entry into the heart of the fortress….
You have finally arrived at the gates of Dol Guldur. I hope you didn’t expect to get inside by simply knocking.
Breaching the Necromancer’s Gate is the fifteenth skirmish we will examine in Pineleaf’s Pictorial Primer to Skirmishing. Here we will discuss the scenario, the enemy, and the encounters you will face as you prepare to battle in the first skirmish in the Dol Guldur trilogy.

Wonderful primer, Pineleaf.
I’ve run this several times in a raid setting, and while I haven’t taken as detailed notes for you, I can say that this is quite simple as a raid, as well. Of course, the only thing special about the raid is, I think, the morale (most bosses/lieutenants have ~300-350k at lv75). However, the end boss fight is not very difficult at all (everyone operating from range stay out of the aura and don’t cross through; then just tank n spank.)
Thanks for sharing this! Love all your great work.

I finally ran it as a raid tonight. The toughest thing I found was that that the boss had a real nasty kickback that can knock you out of the aura. I don’t recall seeing that knockback at any other settings.
