Welcome to LOTRO Epic A Day, where I guide you on an epic journey through Middle-Earth, one day at a time. Each Book of the Epic quest is separated into its own Day, with Side-Days for leveling up to the next book. Gather up your belongings and hit the road, a new Day awaits!

The Flaming Deeps are filled with flowing lava and fire-breathing creatures. It is a hostile environment, but there is adventure to be had so the Dwarves delve deep under the Twenty-first Hall to find treasure and ore. The Flaming Deeps are reached by heading east from the Waterworks or southwest from the Twenty-first Hall or Redhorn Lodes.

The Flaming Deeps Quest Hubs

The Dwarves didn't start the fire. It was always burning since Middle-Earth's been turningAnazârmekhem (Rec 56-57): There is a Dwarf outpost at the northern entrance to the Flaming Deeps (13.3 S, 108.1 W). Within this outpost are the standard vendors, quest-givers, Moria class set barterers, a relic and forge-master, and a Stable-master. The Relic-Master offers Trace Metals, a repeatable level 60 daily quest that gives you a choice of for rewards that include relics, an ixp rune, or a Compendium of Middle-Earth, Volume I, used to create crafted relics.

    In my opinion, one of the better quest hubs in Moria. I wished I had been warned about not entering the ‘shiny flaming water’ beforehand though.

    Since you’ve mentioned the instance entrances in the more recent foundations of stone side day, there is also a mini quest hub in the southwest corner of the flaming deeps with three instances (forges, halls of crafting, and I always forget the third ;) ) and a few quest givers handing out halls of crafting quests and companion quests for the class quests.
