Welcome to LOTRO Epic A Day, where I guide you on an epic journey through Middle-Earth, one day at a time. Each Book of the Epic quest is separated into its own Day, with Side-Days for leveling up to the next book. Gather up your belongings and hit the road, a new Day awaits!
The Redhorn Lodes is the center of mining operations in Moria – the center for the Orcs anyway. This region shares a leveling range with the Water-works, but offers more ore and wood resource nodes to gather. Do not confuse the Redhorn with the Silvertine lodes; while Silvertine is a maze of ledges and tunnels, Redhorn is fairly easy to navigate. Because of the resources and open area, Redhorn is one of my favorite areas in Moria.
Redhorn Lodes Quest Hubs
The Orc-watch (Rec 55-56): The Dwarves have established a scouting position slightly away from the main orc operations within the Lodes (11.1 S, 106.8 W). There are quests, vendors, relic and forge-masters, and a stable-master as well as class-set and Iron Garrison reputation barterers.
Gharâf-fehem (Rec 60): Iron Garrison Miners have struck ore veins in the southwest corner of the Lodes (13.1 S, 105.7 W). Unfortunately, there are intruders in these veins. Two Dwarves offer separate instances to go into a mine and defeat the enemy. Accepting their quests gives you an hour to explore the mine, defeat the enemies, and collect any ore you find. Both mines can be repeated once per day and are good sources for Supreme level prospecting resources.

Excellent write-ups as always. One thing that I would add as it is somewhat unique to the Redhorn Lodes is the exploration deed. There is one area for the deed that is technically within the Redhorn Lodes but cannot be reached from there. It actually overlooks Redhorn Lodes and can only be reached via Nud-Melek.
