Great video. Even greater soundtrack.
I had to watch it twice because I got lost in the music the first time I played it

Thanks, yes it was a fortuitous piece that I happened to find to go along with the video. I’m glad you liked it!

Merric, this is just what I’d want to see from Turbine’s marketing department. Brilliant. The music is perfect too. The terrain in positively sings.

Thanks a lot, Narnian

Very fine tour, Merric. I am looking forward to poking around there myself after launch. The music is the third movement from Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto in G Minor, a longtime favorite of mine.

I can’t say I was familiar with the music beforehand, but it is quite beautiful. I find myself humming it now and again.

Awesome Mr. M!
I wonder what specs you run in your recording PC? 1920×1080 ultra high? It looks great! The only thing I missed were the black goats which I personally think look awesome! The aggro parts merged very cool with the music. I would have certainly smoked some pipe weed and fished for a while in that nice town with all the walkways over water. 5 starts for you sir!

Yep that’s it exactly on the video resolution. It still causes some hitching, but I blame my hard drive on that mostly.
I definitely didn’t get all the great places or mobs, but I’ll just have to do more exploring in the future, right?
Thanks for all the compliments GoTiK!

I loved the video Merric, the selected piece of music raises LOTRO up to another level.
I enjoyed its full length, specially the part when you enter Lhan Colvarn and the music perfectly synchronizes with the surrounding events.
Lovely.

Well a you kindly. Yes,, the music worked out well and it will be a difficult video to beat. However, we will see next week.

Thank you!

Video can not be watched in germany :’(
Thank you very much GEMA!

Not availble for Germany due to copyright reasons. How stupid…

I am from Germany and can’t see the video because of some rights of the used music. I wonder if there is any other country in the world having such a f****** organisation like the GEMA in Germany.

Well, I would gladly introduce you to the SGAE en Spain. They have been abusing for years and now, luckily, some of the heads are being prosecuted.

I have decided I am going to put up a video that does not use the music, but instead will use the game sound. So expect it to be somewhat erratic in the audio.
September 17, 2011 at 10:38 am
I will do the same for the other videos as well.
September 18, 2011 at 8:03 am
Thank you very much for that!
(Although I have found a website that lets me download those blocked videos… if I have to. But I’d much rather have the in game sounds anyway!
) )

You’re welcome.
Honestly, I didn’t even think about countries being blocked and it will be something I consider from this point onward.

Thanks for the awesome video, Merric! And to the German people who can’t watch the clip, I feel your pain. Not on this specific instance, but many, many other times Australia is not able to view online content, or download or buy things from some online retailers. Dirstel SMASH!!!

And if it’s not too late I think you just sold a pre-order.
