This week we discuss the newly announced Rise of Isengard LOTRO Store pricing, new pvmp dev diaries and more!
Goldenstar didn’t recall playing at all this week due to the holiday week. The new Monday group took the week off for Labor Day. She also explains why she stinks at time zones.
Merric is playing his warden and complains a bit about leveling him, hence the title.

Raise Your Glass
Holger
Ello GMoelrdr.. uh.. both of you.
Right, this is Holger from Estonia (no need to look up this time, I presume) with a question/problem. This is something both of you can answer – at least portions of it. As I recently started playing a minstrel (yay minstrels) I found myself healing alot (who would’ve made that connection, eh).
But the problem is with the vital bars of my fellowship members. Isn’t there a way to make the morale bars easier to spot – like without a frame or get rid of the mana/class icon area? Or perhaps I am just looking at them the wrong way – I can manage them fine with a 6 man fellowship, but when I had to be the solo healer of a raid of 12 – I constantly failed to spot the hp drops fast enough to react. I have already turned off the buffs and debuffs at the vitals leaving the stuff I could dispel and things I have provided them.
So is there a plugin that would save the day or should I just suck it up and heal like the dwarf I should be.
Cheers.
Bootsy of Laurelin:
Dear Goldenstar and Merric,
I thought I should let you know about a forthcoming event on Laurelin:
The Songburrow Strollers – Breeland Concerts Concert 4 -
Pierson’s Farm (Sunday 18 September)Hearing word of a lively musical concert at Thornley’s Worksite back in July, Farmer Pierson did not want to be outdone, and so has invited the Songburrow Strollers to perform over at his farm, south of Bree, where he has a little gazebo set in an orchard, ideal for the event.
Therefore the Songburrow Strollers are pleased to announce the fourth concert in their Breelands tour. It will be held at Gazebo
next to Pierson’s Farm, just south of Bree, on Sunday 18th September, where the usual mix of old and new songs will be performed for the enjoyment of tall and short folk alike.
Prior to the concert there will be a short gathering at the farm itself, where food and drink will be served, after which the concert will begin!
Folks of all shapes and sizes are welcome to attend, although tall folk should be polite enough to stand at the back so as not to block the views of the little folk.
Details
Location: The Gazebo, Pierson’s Farm, Breeland (Loc 33.10S, 50.46W)
Date: Sunday 18 September
Time:19:30 BST (14:30 Server Time) – Meet-up at Pierson’s Farm
20:00 BST (15:00 Server Time) – Concert starts at the Gazebo**Please note this is a fully IC event on a roleplaying server, and we ask all kind folk to respect the band and the audience who are there to have a good time in a friendly atmosphere.**

Regarding the Turbine store 20% non-combat travel item, I use them in the Moors. It allows you to catch wargs and Reavers sprinting (or at least keep up with them). Also, if you are soloing and run into a group, you have a better chance to make a quick escape. I agree with you regarding PVE and would not recommend them. Last, very useful on Bullroarer for getting around a new zone.
I have never used the combat run speed boost, so cannot comment on usefulness.
