The following items are on sale from August 26 – September 1, 2011. Turbine sales run from midnight to midnight eastern.
Shared Storage
Share items among your characters on the same server!
• Easily manage shared items!
• Start with 20 slots; up to 80 extra slots available.
• Filter and search for items by name!
Store Location: Account > Account Storage
Levels: All
595-995
476-796
CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I love my shared storage and I’ll tell you why. Because sending my tailor, jeweler, or scholar materials that my alts collect one item at a time via the mail system is stupid boring and annoying to me. Shared storage is a convenient place all your characters on the server can access. Now I just dump all the mats in there for the crafter to come pick up later. It can be used for any items (not just crafting) just trying to give you an example of how I use it.
Vault Upgrades
Store more!
• Store and organize your character’s items!
• Increase your number of vault storage slots by 15 per Vault Upgrade; up to 150 slots available (every character receives a 30-item vault for free).
• Filter and search for items by name!
Store Location: Character > Vault Storage
Levels: All
195-895
156-716
CSTM RECOMMENDATION: More space is always a good thing. You’ll always find something that you’ll want to keep. I will note that while you can buy all the vault upgrades in the store, only upgrades 7 and 8 are store exclusive. All other vault upgrades can be purchased in game with in-game currency. I would recommend spending your pretend gold before dishing out your real life moolah.
Inventory Bags
Increase the amount your character can carry
• Unlock a 4th and 5th Inventory Bag for all characters on your account – an extra 15 slots each!
Store Location: Account > Account Storage
Levels: All
495
396
CSTM RECOMMENDATION: I personally have no idea how anyone could survive with only three bags. I suppose that just says I keep too much junk. If you’re like me, I say buy this. Buy it now and you’ll be happier. It is an account wide purchase although you do have to buy each of the two additional bags separately.
Carry unlimited gold!
• Remove the restriction on currency from all current and future characters created on your account!
• Allows you to buy a Deluxe house, which grants even more storage!
Store Location: Account > Currency Cap
Levels: All
395
316
CSTM RECOMMENDATION: The currency cap is annoying and this definitely is a worthwhile purchase. Bonus that it is an account wide purchase. It is free for VIP and if you downgrade from VIP to Premium to get to keep the unlimited gold cap, however it is only for characters you created while VIP. I think if you don’t plan on VIP for any length of time, this is a worthwhile purchase.

One more highlight for shared storage (and something I use it for fairly often) is transferring account bound items between characters. It’s a great place to keep a stack of deed accelerators or anything you may wish to use on any character.

I love my maxed shared storage too.
One note on the Vault upgrades. The last 2 15-slot vault upgrades are over 700 TP each, even on sale. It is far more cost effective to buy a new character slot instead and use all the free vault and inventory space on the new character(and the cheap vault upgrades with in-game money). Just level them to 6 and park them at the closest Vault NPC.
It will get you far more space and save you a bundle on TP.(versus the last two TP-only vault upgrades)

Exactly.
Shared storage + new storage character is way better than upgrading vault TP.

Perhaps I’m in the minority but man I hate character hopping to remember where I put stuff. I suppose it’s a good alternative if you’re low on points but I personally would just prefer all my character’s junk to be on that character if possible. It’s expensive (even on sale) but I guess I’m more lazy than I am cheap.

More lazy than cheap. Spoken like a true Hobbit GS.

I hate it too. I’m really hoping at some point that they make vault upgrades per account and not per char.
I was a bit disappointed when I rolled a char for Weatherstock that the store-bought cosmetics were bound to the character that buys them too. While it would get a bit annoying to have something appear in the inv of every newly-rolled char, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to drop these items into the inventory of the first character created on a particular server. It doesn’t seem fair to have to pay twice for something if you want it.

I’m both lazy and cheap, but I’d roll four mule alts for storage before I’d pay turbine points for character vault upgrades. A friend of mine names his mules based on what they’re holding (Bobscholar, Bobore, Bobfood, etc.)
I don’t mind paying in-game money for vault space (even at 5 gold a pop) because at high levels, money really is so easy to come by in the game, but I have a hard time paying real money for extra storage on each character.
Now, if vault upgrades were account-wide (or even server-wide), that would be a different story . . .

That is smart, thanks for the tip. I have a mini that used up 70 slots just for cosmetics i bought from store and things i picked up but didn’t equip. Needa buy another slot for COSMO.

Shared storage is on sale? Score! Here’s my question – Does this sale stack with the Determine your Discount sale? If so, that’s a 44% discount on Storage. That’s pretty darn good if you ask me.

It can be used with the current coupon codes!

I can’t figure out how anyone could survive on three bags either – I struggle with all five!
One full of pots, one full of LIs, Food… crafting stuff I harvest while I’m out and about… I’m lucky if I have even one slot free for vendor trash/quest rewards.

Shared storage is only upgradable using the pointstore, right?

Correct
