The website for how to reproduce outfits from the LOTR movies is here:
http://alleycatscratch.com/lotr/
I’ve used it continually as inspiration for the LARP costuming I sew for myself or others.
Love the Roundtable!

It’s always awesome to see people of many blogs doing stuff together. That’s a highlight of this community.
And, someday, I’ll find a good Minstrel-like costume for mine

Wanted to add something about dye-making you guys left out: If a scholar works on kin with the Scholar’s Guild, you can then make dyes in batches of 5 using Small Scholar Guild items. The recipes only use one of the dye items (so your rare drops go a lot farther) and you can get black dyes without having to crit Rust dyes. The only downside is that you can only make one of the Small Scholar items per day and each batch of the dyes can only be made once a day.

One other thing you didn’t mention (which probably goes without saying) is that you can actually preview multiple items in the dressing room at the same time. When you Control-click an item, the dressing room window opens. If you then Control-click another item, the item will be added to the same dressing room, so you can put together an entire costume without actually equipping anything, testing out your dye combinations and such. I find it very helpful.
Another thing to keep in mind about the dressing room is that it’s often difficult to preview hats and trousers. I’m always forgetting that I need to “hide” my cloak on the cosmetic tab on the character screen first to see a hat, for example.
Just a couple of things I thought of while I listened. I really enjoyed the show!

I’m a guy but I’m also a huge cosmetic geek! If I had the points, I’d get all the cosmo slots. You have to have a fighting outfit, a fishing outfit, something for in town, and something formal for … heck I don’t know but you gotta have it! Guys I love all these cosmetic sites. Well done.

One correction I’d like to make: you can’t equip anything cosmetically until you have at least one character that’s reached level 20. I know this because of restarting a bunch of characters recently on Landroval
.

For future reference 495 TP is price for each +10. There’s no initial +20 required like for Shared Storage; Though, often people will need to buy /20 so they can have a few ‘empty slots’ because they nearly filled/filled it during their VIP rental period.

Since Rise of Isengard, the restrictions about what armour your can drag to the wardrobe have been removed. My light armour wearing lore-master can now drag medium and heavy armour to my wardrobe! GREAT upgrade. I never understood why I can’t, since the stuff.
On dyes. If you have a Westfold farmer with Dunland rep, you can purchase the ‘wild flower’ recipe from the Dunland quartermaster in Galtrev. The field drops all the scholar dye mats, even woad, indigo, yarrow root and such and no actual flowers. It’s awesome!

I am a complete cosmetic fanatic. I have bought many extra cosmetic slots and like to have outfits to suit the occasion.
I have on my main a pretty dress perfect for the shire, a more work friendly dress fitter for being in other towns out of the shire. A special dress a gift from the elves. Warm coat outfit with boots for the freezing climes, and uber armour in a pretty colour. I keep my cosmetics too….all my clothes fall out most of my boxes when I open them. Did I mention I like cosmetics?
