Codemasters Shadows of Angmar Giveaway!

We have such generous and wonderful fans here at CSTM and to prove it Yogho from the Civillian Army of the Lowlands Kinship on Laurelin [EU-RP] server has donated to CSTM not one but two codes for LOTRO Shadows of Angmar for the Codemasters service.

Update 5/20/2011: Gilreth actually has a code for a Gold Edition Shadows of Angmar that he does not need and is giving to us to add to this giveaway! So now we have 3 codes for SoA PLUS a code that will give you the gold edition goodies! See the now updated Prizes section for full details!  Gilreth adds that the VIP time with the Gold Edition is 45 days!

This falls under the same urgency as the Mines of Moria giveaway as these codes will not work after the migration to the Turbine Global Service so you must use them soon to activate them! According to Maneki on the Codemasters German forums that codes must be used by May 30th (thank you Falebrindor for that link).

Prizes

We have three (3) product key codes for LOTRO’s original game The Shadows of Angmar (SoA). SoA is the same basic free game you get to download when starting the game. It does not include any bonus quest packs or extra goodies for in-game.

However, it does include 30-days free VIP. This VIP time can only be activated on brand new Codemaster LOTRO accounts. You will not get VIP time if you apply it to your existing account.

We also have one (1) product key code for gold edition goodies which includes:

• Bree (Starter) Horse/Pony
• Lucky Horseshoe
• Scented Candles x5
• Welcome Mat

We will be bundling the gold edition code with one of the product key codes. One lucky winner will receive both SoA and the gold edition goodies! Two other winners will be selected for SoA codes.

These codes are the perfect way to get a friend, spouse or family member to jump in and try LOTRO with you and have them enjoy all the benefits as a VIP from the start. After the 30-days is up they will be downgraded to premium unless they chose to subscribe.

How to Enter

Because of the upcoming deadline we want to give away these codes quickly so they can be applied and enjoyed before it is to late!

Contest Details

• The code is only valid for the Codemasters client and will not work on the Turbine system.
• Any Codemasters player is eligible to enter. Even if an American/Canadian/Australian/etc player with a free Codemasters account!
• All comments must have a PG-Rating (we are a family site). Any vulgar or just plain adult entries are subject to being discarded.
• Your email address is used to contact the winner and deliver the code. Your email address is not displayed on the blog and is not shared with any third parties. We will use it to contact the winner only.

This contest is open from May 19 through May 25, 2011 at 11:59pm Eastern (-5 GMT). Entries received after this cutoff time will be discarded.

How Winners Are Selected

Entries will be compiled into a spreadsheet and numbered. The winners will be drawn using http://www.random.org random number generator. The winners will be contacted and will be given 2 days to respond before a new winner is selected.

We will email the winners of the contest the code to the email address they provide on the site. Make sure if you enter, you use a email address you check!
