A new competition has started for our friends in Codemasters land. You may have been following the Tolkien Tour they were posting on the Community Team blog. They are asking you to find Middle-Earth outside your own backdoor. Not at all different from what our very own Orchida does here with her Photo Comparisons series here on CSTM.
For this contest, we invite you to go out, hunt down locations that resemble Middle-earth and send us a picture with some text that explains what location in Middle-earth it could be and where you found it.
Prizes for available for 10 winners chosen:
- LOTRO/Codemasters Goodie Bags
- LOTRO “Siege of Mirkwood” Hoody
- In-game items for adventurers such as Travel Rations, a Traveller’s Hood, Writ of Special Passage and much more
- Points to spend in the LOTRO Europe Store
The “Find Middle-earth Competition” runs from 7th – 20th April. Entries must be received by Codemasters by 11:59PM UK time (GMT+1), Wednesday 20th April, 2011.

Hopefully the devs over there are aware of your Photo Comparisons series, so if someone just tries to copy that they get disqualified.
