Our good friend (anyone that sends us beer is a good friend) Lawmi from the Bywater Brewing Company is finishing up two batches of his homebrews and is looking for some assistance from the community on what their bottle labels should be.
Lawmi sent us what the blank label looks like (click for larger image) and is looking for suggestions on what should go in the center for his two new ales:
- Bombur’s Beard Lager
- Shire Spice Ale
Lawmi reports that Bombur’s Beard Lager has been bottled and is now lagering away in the refrigerator and should be perfect for early May consumption.
Brew Day for Shire Spice Ale was mid March and it is already in the secondary fermenter which means it should be ready for consumption shortly after Bombur’s Beard Lager. With a little help from CSTM’s own Kiarane, this beer recipe is made of baked grains, low hops, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, and will be primed with maple syrup to create a Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookie taste. You can see his recipe here.
Lawmi has posted a general idea for Bombur’s Beard Lager but has no idea for the Shire Spice Ale. If you have any ideas feel free to share it here or you can reach Lawmi directly at law@bywaterbrewingcompany.com.
