TBH I’ve never seen the podcast, or heard of it before the post on the RK forums, but I’m curious on what stance you will take on the RK. People typically take the “LOL OPRK!!!!” stance, it would be nice to have somebody take an analytical look at the pros and cons instead.

Welcome to CSTM! I’m glad you’ve stopped by. I hope you find the RK cast useful! We always try to find a good mix of play-styles for our class roundtables so we can cover as much of the class as possible.

I’d love to hear a little discussion about the following topics:

*The different chisels and which to take what-for
*What kind of damage-line makes more sense (perhaps situation-wise): Thunder or Fire and why
*LIs: Really need for 2 Stones and 2 satchels or are the average players able to take some compromises and use one stone and one satchel for all purposes
*new no-radiance-system. Which armor makes most sense – for Raiders and for non-Raiders

I am really looking forward for this event (perhaps I find some ideas to include in my German RK Guide) … by the way … are there any tools out there which are able to compose a transcript out of such a podcast?

There are tools but the free/low-cost ones available to our budget are pretty crummy. We’ve attempted transcripts before and it turned out into a incomprehensible mess. Especially for the roundtables where conversations flow around several players.

If you find a solution, we’ll be happy to hear it. We would like transcripts but haven’t found a good way to do so. Well, short of me typing out every word. Yeah, that’s not gonna happen!

    My question would be:

    * Healing with the RK: Any advanced tactics, traits, rotations and tricks?

I like to solo, so my questions are based on that at the moment.

My main is a hunter, so there is a similar feel, except that when soloing the RK is way more fragile, what is a good soloing strategy for leveling (currently level 41)?

When solo, when should I switch attunements? How do the pros switch attunements quickly?

What is the best way to learn how to heal? My main reason for rolling an RK is to heal endgame, since my main is a hunter, I already have ranged DPS covered lol.

Well I’ll be joining this, it’ll be interesting what other people with capped, raid-ready and experienced RKs will have to talk about.

I would like to second the comments about healing RKs. I would love to hear the roundtable discuss the healing abilities pros/cons of RKs, we all know they can DPS.

I have a minstrel and a RK at cap, and feel like I do a much better job healing on my RK, I like stacking hots, over reacting to damage spikes. However, like Rodney Dangerfield “I get no respect!” Mentioned to my kin last night my willingness to be one of the healers in the new raid, and was basically scoffed at. Nevermind, that I have a seperate set of a bag, chisel and stone all dialed in for maximum healing and have healed SG, the shire 3man, SH, GS, Forges, FG… I know raids are a different animal, but I truely feel that RKs are excellent healers, as long as they can forsee potential trouble.

How does the roundtable feel about RKs raid healing, have they done it? What worked well, what didn’t.

    Thanks,
