Last night Ivaneus of Through the Palantir podcast contacted me and invited to take Merric and I on a tour of the Entenmoors on our monster player (creep) characters. We of course jumped on the opportunity and requested permission to broadcast his tour. As a result we had a small audience following along on our spur of the moment tour with the famous Ugmog (Ivaneus’ Warleader).
I have to say that this was exactly the type of help I needed to get started. Azz was very helpful in helping me set up my traits and skills but Ugmog showed us safe paths to get around that I wasn’t aware of, showed us all the locations, showed us safe places to jump off waterfalls, helped us complete several quests, showed us important NPCs and dangerous “murder holes” and gave us goodies to turn in for destiny points. Oh and we learned the important Moors Rule #13, “To get out of Dodge”. (It is said no one knows the other 12 rules.)
This was time very well spent for me and I cannot thank Ivaneus/Ugmog enough for taking the time. This is a typical tour he does for new creeps as he just loves the moors and wants more people to see the fun in it. He was extremely patient with my lagging behind and more than willing to answer all our questions.
At the end of the tour we captured an outpost and claimed the Isendeep Mine for the Creeps!
Missed the live broadcast? Really not surprised since it was so last minute but some of the broadcast is available to watch on demand on our Justin.tv page!
There is actually two recordings available showing the tour. The first part Merric didn’t realize he had his audio cable in the wrong spot or setting so we just see our travel but not Ugmog’s helpful commentary (sorry!). The video below is the second half of our tour where you can hear the helpful tips and advice from Ugmog.
Watch live video from A Casual Stroll to Mordor on Justin.tv
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us the tour Ivaneus! I really enjoyed it! For more moors information and end game goodness, I recommend you check out the Through the Palantir Podcast!

This sounds like the perfect way to get into the Moors.

I’m just glad I didn’t pull the nerf sword when I logged in for this little adventure. =D It would have ruined all the pretty screenshots I didn’t even know you were taking.
And I’ll probably be leading a proper raid sometime next week, it’s not the kind of thing I schedule and plan out but I’ll be sure to let you know when I am starting it in case you want to see what happens when I am not dragged away by “real life.” Of course the amout of forewarning will probably be in the 10-2 minute range. =P

I’m actually quite pleased with this ‘Tour’ concept.. I’d like to request some various middle earth tours. The various regions in Moria.. Goblin Town… Getting to specific locations for the epic book in Angmar; (Routes to the CD/Uru Camp from GF… The various towers in the East..).. I know there are a number of quests that just sit in my log because while I can see the objective I just can’t figure out a way to get there from here, no matter how far out of my way I go, and it just drives me nuts!.. Consider it part of becoming kindred with the Iron Garrison Guides!
