Sapience announced this afternoon that Bullroarer is once again open! Unfortunately Bullroarer doesn’t have any of the first quarter updates we are anxiously waiting for at this time. Instead we are getting a patch 2 to the November update. You can read the release notes on the forums. I have also pasted them below for our friends who have trouble visiting lotro.com during the day.
November 2010 Update – Patch 2 Release Notes 1/17/2011
- Thorin’s Hall goats purchased through the LOTRO Store were overly afraid of Moria. We’ve calmed them down and they have now agreed to be summoned in Moria.
- The Task: Soft Skin (level 34 version) was displaying a string table error in its text. This has been resolved.
- Task deeds will now correctly complete at 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 completions. We have done what we can to preserve those players who received the deed completions at 100, but you may lose access to titles and deed completions until you meet the correct requirements. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- [Quests - Enedwaith - Behind Bars] Interacting with Dagoras while in a fellowship during ‘Behind Bars’ should no longer result in client issues.
- Monster Play – Addressed an issue while speaking with Uglash.
- Skirmish – Protectors of Thangúlhad – Sometimes monsters in waves from the East will run into a wall and get stuck. After watching several safety videos on the perils of running into walls, these monsters have agreed to knock it off.
- Crafted housing items were incorrectly allowing the use of ingredient packs. Furniture created with ingredient packs could not be unslotted. Crafted housing items will no longer allow the use of ingredient packs.

No Q1 update now, on the other hand it seems unlikely they would open Bullroarer just to test this minor patch.

Interesting that “November 2010 Update – Patch 2″ is being released so late in the cycle. I cannot see them doing a patch and then a major update right after, so I guess that means the earliest we’ll see the Q1 update on Bullroarer is late February early March- and then who knows how long for live.
I was really hoping to get back to the 3-month update cycle of SoA days, but doesnt look like its gonna happen, least not this time around.

I was hoping they would get back to the SoA schedule as well. 3-month major updates with monthly minor updates would be amazing.
