Winter can often bring with it chilly snowflakes and frozen lakes. And while the weather can sometimes be cold and unfriendly, it certainly isn’t that way for long and there are always plenty of ways to enjoy the season.
Snowman
What better way to enjoy the snow than to create things with it?

Oak Park, MI (afternoon)

Shire Homesteads, Shire (morning)
Hiking and Skiing
The outdoors of Middle-Earth are home to an amazing amount of creatures and stunning locations. Hiking, or skiing, are excellent ways to get out and about in the snowy regions and enjoy the day.

Kent Trails, Wyoming, MI (afternoon)

North High Pass, Misty Mountains (morning)
Ice Skating
While you dont specifically need snow to skate across the ice (in fact it impeeds your ability to do so), it certianly is a welcome visitor on the surrounding ground.

Downtown Grand Rapids, MI (afternoon)

Forochel (afternoon)
Snow Globe
And when it’s too chilly or dark to be outdoors, playing in the snow, you can always curl up to a nice fire and gaze into your handy snowglobe.

Glad you enjoyed! I live in GR now but I’m from the east side of the state and I have family in the Bay City area, Lansing area, etc. So yeah, there can be a bit of driving. about once a month somewhere several hours away.
