Guess it’s F2P sale week. /yawn

I really wish I could buy the quest packs as VIP. I know I won’t be able to maintain my VIP sub forever, and right now I’m only paid through February. I’d love to be able to buy the quest packs so I could “own” the content whether or not I’m currently subbed, but I don’t think Turbine is interested in offering this functionality.

2 quest pack for a price of 1 good deal ya.
This would be the perfect time to invite friends yet to explore Middle Earth.
By registering a new f2p account, Turbine is already giving away 250 TPs for free during the holidays. Deed grind+48 TP to purchase one of these quest pack gotta be one of the best deal for sure.

I like the North Downs pretty well, but with the Lone Lands now free it seems less essential than it did – also, both zones have been on sale for 75% off as recently as October.

I really like the fact of 50% on the quest packs for North Downs and Evendim. Especially for who just started LOTRO with f2p. But don’t you guys think that at least the North Downs quest will be f2p within the next update.
Because it was the same with the Lone Lands quest pack, which i bought a few days before the release of the recent update where it became f2p.

I really don’t expect north downs going free. Lonelands went free do to issues with rep required for the epic quest and free players not having the quests to do them.

Wooo, thanks for the fast reply. I’m new to both LOTRO (level 29) and your magnificent podcast. I started to listen to all of your episodes two weeks ago and are now are at episode 20. I love it. I love you. Greetings from Berlin, Germany.
Back on topic. Ah okay I see. And the epic quest in the north downs isn’t affected by non-free quests?
Well but anyways in this case i definitely will buy this two quest packs. BTW – do you know if the quests from the quest packs once i bought them are even available for new character i create?
(i hope it’s okay to ask questions here in the comments)

For some reason I can’t find the continuing experience tomes in the LOTRO store. I can see all the other XP tomes, just not the ones that are supposed to be half price
December 14, 2010 at 9:54 pm
They are listed in Stats, XP & Buffs > Enhancements > XP Boosts
The ones called continuing though are item exp. Not sure if that is what they meant.

I found the same thing. Evendim is NOT listed on sale. I was waiting (and earning TP) all week for that! I don’t have enough to buy it outright.

Its not part of the weekly sale, its a daily sale. Somethings wrong with how it was set up. I suspect turbine will either catch it later today or do something later in the cycle to make up for it.

It’s Sunday Dec. 19th … isn’t Evendim supposed to be 1/2 price today? Maybe my store is bugged but I’m showing full price
December 19, 2010 at 10:33 am
