Where would we be in the dark hours of the Late Watches without some sort of light to aid us? In Middle-Earth there are lamps strewn across towns on buildings and lining the roads. Not only are they helpful in lighting the way, but they’re a great beacon in the daylight, telling weary travelers that the are getting closer to their destination.

Post Lamp
Lamps come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. One of the oldest and most prolific forms is that of the lamp post. You can find these in nearly any town, lining the roads in and out.

Another place you will find lamps are near doorways on buildings. They’re in an excellent position to guide you to the right place and make sure you don’t trip and fall.

Hey Orchidia, great job on the comparison pics. I love seeing pictures from the midwest, since I originaly grew up in Michigan (lower pen) before moving to Texas. Keep up the great work.
