Thanks for posting this Kia! I was rather curious how each one sounded like.

Awesome site! Just got the link from a kinmate; never knew someone had done up the music so nicely. Great job!
On that note, I should say that my “Lament for Oakenshield” does not sound like yours…..it’s more….ummmm….’epic’….and….well, ‘lamenting’. After it plays, it rolls into the Ered Luin theme I think you have there. Just FYI’ing; love your site!

After listening to snippets of all these songs, I’ve decided that Anthem of the Free Peoples is my favorite. It is simple, incorporates violins and isn’t overly dramatic.
When, oh when, will LOTRO include violins in thier minstrel repetoire??

I have the Hills of the Shire. It’s the best hands down
I used to have a Shire home but there were no deluxes available when I needed one, so I had to move into the same neighborhood as my Kin Hall.

Awesome, thanks for doing this. I was looking at buying music for my house the other day but had no idea what each sounded like. It’s like the furniture, unless you go hunting round the internet to see what it looks like you’re just buying blind

LOTRO used to have its music available, but now you can get it on fileplanet. Just downloaded it yesterday. Very lovely soundtrack! I like the Rivendell theme the best.

Thanks for this!
I have several of these themes. It sucks that a lot of them bind to the characters, as it makes juggling them quite difficult.
Love the Tom Bombadil theme! Makes me happy to come “home.”

Nice, Kia.
I almost always use Autumn Ale in my house – it matches the “feel” of Middle-Earth to me. When I imagine a rustic fantasy world, it sounds like solo folk instruments, not bombastic orchestral string sections.
My favorite piece, however, is the first selection / title track of Silent Hope, which plays around Bag End in the game. It’s calm and homey – perfect for putting your feet up on the porch on a summer night. (The second piece on that one ruins the mood for me, though.)
