Scholars of Middle-Earth are going to be busy this season! With 10 new dyes for our cosmetics announced for the November Update, styling possibilities just exploded! Here’s an overview old and new colors. New dyes are in red!
Will you adopt one of the new shade for your favourite outfit or stay with your classic color?
Kia will definitely add some Rivendell Green to her outfit to complement her traditional Olive. I’m also very exited about that Evendim Blue for formal dresses!

I’m so happy we get some girly colors!! Yay for purple and pink!!
Now I just need to make a girly character to wear them, lol. Lunna won’t be caught dead in anything other than black.

The new blues and greens are a welcome addition as well! I hope they make it easier to test out your colors though. The current drop-down in the dressing room UI is a bit of a chore to use, especially when you want to see what everything looks like in blue, green, red, and orange. A global color dropdown would go a long way here…

TWO new blues! Nice. I like the new greens as well. I tend to stick with browns for robes and armor, but the new colors will definitely be useful for cloaks.

!!!
Finally, some pretty blue dyes! I’m so happy! Great layout of the colour selection, too, makes it look like such a lovely array of choices!

For a long long time i was navy and indigo, until turquoise appeared, i think i will switch to Sea blue and Evendim Blue^^

These colors are amazing. I love the Evendim blue and the forest green – both of which will work well with the color themes I have for my Elven hunter (Isilwren) and Hobbit hunter (Netille). So many other choices to choose from for other alts – where does one start???

Are all of the new dyes scholar craftable? If any aren’t which ones are store-exclusive?

The scholar’s guild has the recipes for the improved, the regular versions are drop recipes as neither the scholar trainers have any of the new color recipes.

i would trade any three of the new colors for a good brown.

I am so happy to see that Rose color. It looks like it will match the barding on the Sable Harvestmath Mount … Yay!

That is pretty much the exact shade of blue I’ve been hoping to see since I saw the game even has dye. As soon as we get F2P here and I start playing again, my character on the new server is going to be a Historian. I’m going to make it my mission to get the recipe for Evendim Blue Dye. And then I’m going to stockpile them. I’ll have a stack or two on me at all times. I’ll have entire housing chests full of dye. I’m going to dye everything with it. Even the boots and cloaks that I hide. Everything I’m wearing. Everything in the bank. Everything in the wardrobe too. Hell, I’m going to dye the random trash gear that I loot before I sell it to vendors.
Basically I’m going to be cranking out and using dyes like they’re seven week delays and I’m Codemasters. And if anyone asks if they can buy some from me I’ll cheerfully let them know that progress towards putting them on the Auction House has been made and I hope to have an update for them some time next week.

(I really like that shade of blue)

I like the ranger green. Good hunter and warden color.

I think these are all amazing additions, and really flesh out the range of colors. With the Umber, Sienna, Rust, Orange line all looking very similar to my eyes on a lot of items, it’s really nice to have more options in the blues and greens. Well, just more options in general!
As a hunter, I, too, look forward to trying out the new greens!

Sea Blue might just replace Turquoise as my dye of choice…
October 29, 2010 at 7:39 pm
The Sea Blue looks very close to a Pine Green. I think I’ll be changing colors soon also.

Ah, Ranger Green, I’ve been waiting for you.

Excellent! Will these be using existing farmed/world-drop/prospected mats or will new ones be added for Farmers/loot tables. Are the recipes posted anywhere on-line (I haven’t found them yet)? I want to start stocking up on dye supplies if possible.
