In this episode we discuss our first run of Glinghant. This didn’t go so well for us with some issue with re-spawning ghosts.
We also made our first visit to the Turtle, another first for us. A very successful and smooth run. Goldenstar even got a First Age Weapon!
Merric has been working on his faction with Lothlorien as well as leveling his Warden, who is now level 36.

Gowandier on Landroval:
HI Merric and GoldenStar,
First off I wanted to say I really like the show. It’s been a big help to me since FTP got me to ReSub.
One topic I wanted to suggest was covering Kinship basics. I had been playing WoW until about 8 months ago and in WoW guilds seemed to always be advertising for new members. I’ve only been back playing LOTOR for a few weeks but I noticed that Kins don’t seem to be broadcasting for new members all that often. I wasn’t sure if this was normal for LOTRO of if everyone was waiting for the dust to settle after FTP.
Regards,
Gowandier on Landroval
John:
Hi,Just wanted to thank you for the great podcasts and help you are to people like myself that are just learning to play LOTRO. I subscribe to the podcasts via Itunes. I have learned alot and just now getting into crafting. Might make 2 toons (always 2) Soyel and Pijo on Landroval. Actually I think I have made prior to F2P just never played them. But have to figure out a way to make them semi-self suffiecent. I,e. Hunter=woodsman or scholar and Burglar=explorer or he might be the woodsman doh I might have to make a 3rd for explorer. Anyway, Thanks again and be safe
John
Special thank you to funBoxxy for their podcast review!

Just a note regarding the comments about the Moria box prices going up @ Amazon……. Amazon still has the Moria Complete Edition for $9.99. You have to click on the List View to see it though. The Collector’s Edition though does appear to be out of stock now from Amazon and is only available through their Marketplace Merchants at higher prices.

To your friend who ‘just wants his time to end’: You can call them up and they’ll end it for you on the spot so you can spend your points..they wont start it back up though, so you have to be sure. If you’ve got say, a day or two left, it might be worth it for these 75% sales.. Its really a matter of whether or not you’ll get more of your money or not.

I was also on my VIP time via SoA during this sale, so I decided to call Turbine and see if there was any option for me to buy the packs. The rep told me that I could only cancel my subscription in order to purchase. Since I had 2 weeks left still on my VIP time, I decided it wasn’t worth it at the time.
I still need to apply my Moria key. Really hard to tell when I should now, with these random, amazing sales. I figure there will be Christmas sales, so perhaps I’ll apply it a month before Christmas at least.

I have to explain something about the potions in the LotRO store.
Yeah, they only heal for 10 seconds. HOWEVER:
- They don’t share a cooldown with your regular potions.
- Their cooldown is only 20 seconds.
Which means that you can down SIX store potions while waiting on that longer cooldown for your scholar potion. At level 60, that’s +3600 morale in the time you’ll get about +750 morale from one regular morale pot.
And you get a stack of 25 for 280 turbine points. That’s a steal even when it’s not on sale.
For difficult fights, especially one’s you’re just learning, that is an *invaluable* amount of additional healing. It’s the only reason Gor and Tira and I could finish the Ivar GA three-man in Lone Lands at roughly the right level, and I’ve saved my butt several times on my hunter and guardian 65s with those HoTs ticking away.

Oh, and the power pots work the same way — friggin’ godsend.
