There is now a written guide on how to install plugins as well!
In this segment, we take a look at how to install plugins.

Note: In the Beta, we were given a zip file containing the appropriate libraries (APIs) that we had to manually unzip into our “The Lord of the Rings Online” preferences folder usually located in your “My Documents” folder. It is most likely that Turbine will automatically create this folder for players with the release of Free-to-Play. However, for the sake of prosperity I have included how we in Beta had to manually install the files.

This is only partially related but do you guys have a recommended website to download plugins from? I kinda want to try some out but I don’t want to just google lotro plugins and hope for the best.

I know of two places that have mentioned that they will be hosting plugins. They are Lotroplugins.com and Lotrointerface.com. However, I don’t think that they can legally post them before September 10th (possibly 8th).

Just call them ADDONS. If this game start to imitate World Of Warcraft from the beginning and among other things gave users to enhance it, it would not been on the edge of disaster. Good old days when you could not interact while you on horse LOOOL, running, crafting ect. with your shield in the hand LOL. Animations are still crap, environment load as you run no matter how far you set your view distance LOL

Well lets not forget that WoW is several years older than LOTRO and has had more time to fix the little issues you find so funny. WoW certainly has it’s own little annoyances and issues not unlike any other MMO that have been corrected over time. WoW’s modding options started small as well and slowly opened up to more robust system.
But thanks for your very typical WoW point of view! We appreciate your taking the time to comment!

I don’t see the same libraries that you mention. My documents>lotro…doesn’t have the Turbine folder that you show.
I have extracted and used palantir and manager but nothing else works and I wonder if that is the reason. Can I get that Turbine library folder from somewhere?
