The Fellowship’s Walk is an online fundraising event for Child’s Play Charity, an organization providing toys and games to sick kids in hospitals.On the traces of Frodo and his friends, our team of writers will walk from Bag End up to Rivendell, and maybe beyond. For every donation made to Child’s Play, our Fellowship will take one step further towards the healing house of Elrond.

About Child’s Play
Child’s Play is a charity nurtured by the gaming community since 2003. Its mission is to donate games, movies and toys to sick kids in children’s hospitals. So far, over 5 millions dollars worth of toys has been distributed through Child’s Play, helping children around the world go through hard times.

Thank you so very much for what you’re doing. To be sitting there with your child who can barely move for all the tubes and wires connected to him, who hasn’t been able to eat for days and hasn’t been home in weeks, who can’t remember the last time he didn’t feel awful and wonders if he’ll ever feel good again, and have him laugh out loud when he crashes his go-kart in a video game… well, there aren’t words so I won’t try. Again, thank you.
About the Fellowship’s Walk
This Child’s Play fundraising event will take place from September 23rd, the actual departure date of the original fellowship from the Shire, up to October 24th, when Frodo woke up in Imladris. Every night, at 9 p.m. (EST), the members of the Fellowship will walk the land on the Landroval server, moved by your generosity.

Unfortuantley, we most likely wont see everyone due to dynamic layering:( Took the epic part from the event. (Seeing everyone do the walk)

We did have many join us and we dragged them into our layer. We had others see us walking and /wave as we passed. Layering made it an extra step but not impossible to enjoy. We’ll see as we get to Bree. The Shire wasn’t much problem at all.
