LOTRO News

Today LOTRO announced on their forums a new Tournaments & Events System coming to the game this fall. Sapience describes it in his post:

Tournaments will offer a variety of events and competitions for those who wish to participate. Players who participate in Tournaments may win community renown, badges for display on player profile pages at mylotro.com, or even in-game items, gold, or Skirmish Marks!

Visit mylotro.com/tournaments for a list of upcoming tournaments. To join in the event, simply do what the tournament is about during the listed time frame and you’re automatically entered.

Skirmish

To test this new system, Turbine is opening up a Beta Tournament consisting of three rounds using the Skirmish System. Round one actually starts today! Read the full post for all the details on the three rounds!

Ooh! This sounds like fun. I’ve been taking a little break from LotRO, lately, so this makes for the perfect return activity. Yay events!
