Great interview! I didn’t realize that DDO received content updates roughly every four to five weeks!!!! If F2P means content updates every four to five weeks for LOTRO I think a lot more people will jump on the bandwagon.

Audio problems have been corrected so feel free to jump in and listen. The audio problem was just near the beginning so if you notice issues just re-download from iTunes. If you have any problems please email us and we’ll be happy to help!

What a great interview! Some really good feedback about what free to play means to an MMO. Basically, more players and quicker content refreshes. More players means some more tourists, more immigrants, and a few jerks.

Aren’t we getting this to some extant already? I’ve seen a lot more people using the Advice channel to learn about the game, people who are subbing for a short while for something new to do, and then there’s GLFF. :P

What a nice guy, great interview, interesting conversation. I had commented on the F2P comparison table thread, but here would have been better having listened.

I am wondering seeing as it looks like you can roam in the SoA world freely as a F2P (‘World Access’- free), if when you reach say the lone lands, or north downs or somewhere, whether you can enter, kill stuff and roam as a F2P, but would need to spend money ( to open up the quests etc on the NPCS? I think this seems fairly feasible.

I just thought of something, in leiu of the DDO discussion,

DDO sells like 420 turbine points for $6.50.

But VIP’s and Premium’s(?) get 500 points free each month.

that’s like Turbine paying me $6.50 to play the game! :p
