This week we talk about things we did this week was quite a bit!
Goldenstar got the new spring festival mount on three of her characters. Goldenstar also made two new alts a Lore-master and a Hunter. The hunter is absolutely adorable so picture has been included so you can enjoy the cuteness. She also participated in a run of Barad Gularan with the kin.
Merric got his warden to level 27. Merric also talked Goldenstar into doing a duo skirmish with the plan of getting anniversary tokens. This plan was not a good one. We also participated in our first run of Sword Halls with Azz. The Raiding Guide Merric refers to is from Through the Palantir.

Ranna Dylin of Nimrodel:
Hey there Merric and Goldenstar! I wanted to pass on to you the news of an upcoming event for those who write, or read, blogs about LOTRO. I’ll be hosting the third Great Blogger Gathering on May 15, continuing a tradition begun last July by Aerhinn and Tyrgrimm Pathfinder of Landroval. They hosted a gathering of My.LOTRO bloggers at their home in the Shire, and it was a huge success. When they hosted a second Gathering in January, we discussed making the event a more regular happening and rotating it among all the servers. I have the pleasure of hosting the next such event on my home server, Nimrodel. We’ll be getting together to discuss how to blog, what to blog, and why to blog and also just to enjoy a good live chat as a change from our normal interaction of commenting on each other’s blogs. Though hosted on Nimrodel, the event is open to players from all servers who would like to create a Nimrodel alt and stop by, as a number of us from various servers created alts on Landroval just to attend the first two Blogger Gatherings. This is a great chance for those who are new to blogging to pick up some tips or seek help with their projects – or just to spread the word about their writings!
The crucial details:
When: Saturday, May 15, 2010, 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
Where: At the home of Linett Redfern, 3 Haven Way, Ecthelhad Neighborhood, Falathlorn Homesteads, Nimrodel Server.Anyone is welcome to attend whether they blog on My.LOTRO or not. All who have an interest in writing or reading about LOTRO should enjoy the Gathering. Players can read more or RSVP at this post: http://my.lotro.com/rannadylin/2010/04/25/spring-blogger-gathering

Beridin of Landroval:
Hey!
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I absolutely LOVED the dungeons roundtable discussion. I almost skipped it and I am so glad that I didn’t. The amount of game knowledge that was tossed around for that two hours was absolutely amazing. I now understand the dynamics of grouping much better than I ever have before. It also helped to clear up a couple misconceptions on classes that I had. I thought it would be a little long at two hours, but I could have easily listened for two more. MORE PLEASE!!
Thank you for that amazing gift!

Musical Credits:
- “Battle of Ballylochian” by Fathom
- “Pigeon on the Gate” by Fathom
- “Swan Ships of Alqualonde” performed by Lonely Mountain Band

Your hunter combines the timeless appeal of peter pan with the inherent teddy bear like qualities of hobbits in an incredibly potent mixture!

The best part about Hunters? The Bear Hat reward you get from your Level 15 quest! You won’t want to ever take it off.

The Feminine Curve actually is a quest reward for a quest out of Orc Watch. I just picked it up as well, and like Harperella, I found it wasn’t quite what I’d expected.

My ‘Other’ vote for the Guide I’d most like to see are guides on playing the classes – best traits for levelling, attacks, attack rotations, etc. A ‘Guardian’s Guide’, a ‘Hunter’s Guide’, etc.

I got a Mithril Flake and some skirmish marks from my ancient gold tokens, so its not all fluff and pots, some awesome stuff out there!
I was gutted about the animation, I made a cheeky hobbit healer called Bumfast Tunnelly (I know right
) and the run sooo suits his character… so hopefully its not changed too much!

I have equated the hobbit run to running like Steven Seagal
May 10, 2010 at 4:34 am
I have run like that before too… I grant you it was in the direction of a toilet and I did have a stomach bug at the time, do you think that has amy bearing on Mr Seagal’s run?

I totally disagree with CaptHoppy’s comment about the bear Helm. What was Linett’s comment (or was it Battlemaiden)? “Don’t make it weird.” I hid that thing until better armour came along and then it was “See ya later, you ugly wretch!”. Of course, I’m an elven hunter and we’ve never been partial to wearing dead animals on our heads. Yick!!
