Events

ales_n_tales_ost_forod3 Last week we received an email from Harperella asking us to talk about Ales and Tales that is hosted by The Lonely Mountain Band each week on the Landroval Server.

Today, Ales and Tales will be held at Woodhall in The Shire at 10:30 PM EST (-5:00 GMT).

Ales and Tales is a wonderful chance for anyone who is interested in learning, participating, or  watching roleplay in LOTRO.  It’s a great way to meet some great people on the Landroval server.  There is dancing, music, stories, and drinking to be had.  If you wish to check up on it some more, you can check out their thread on the official LOTRO forums, or go to their Lorebook page (both in and out of game) which has a lot of good information including their scheduled locations!

What is Ales and Tales?

ales_n_tales_cask2 Ales and Tales is a weekly event held on Landroval Server and hosted by the Lonely Mountain Band. Each week, we meet and enjoy the pleasures of food and drink, music, dancing, tales and fine companionship. The entertainment is provided by the audience themselves, as individuals and groups come forward to offer tales, poems, and songs. Those in the audience may participate by drinking, smoking, sitting quietly and listening, kibitzing, dancing, giving out drinks and food, or whatever seems appropriate for you character to do in a pub. Its a great place to unwind after a hard day of fighting the shadow, as you kick back with a mug of ale and socialize with your fellow adventurers.

When is it?

Ales and Tales is held every Monday at 10:30pm EST (-5:00 GMT). It usually goes for 1-2 hours.

Where is it?

ales_n_tales_mathom4 Ales and Tales is a roving event. Each week sees a new location throughout middle earth. Some of the past locations have included such diverse locales as: The Prancing Pony, The Oak N Barrel (a player run inn), the Mathom Society, and the burnt remains of the Mad Badger.

I don’t think we could recommend highly enough.  This was definitely the kind of thing that made us choose Landroval as our server several years ago when we moved from Gladden.

Thanks for the info. I’m an RP noob so will probably just sit and drink ale and smoke my pipeweed for now, but can’t wait to listen and watch. :)

As it turned out, I was invited to this event by a friend, and attended just last night.

Great fun, music and story-telling, even a circle of us dancing in unison!
