Skirmish Soldiers are a very customizable component of skirmishes. They have quite a few skills, traits, and other components that can be increased, swapped, and customized to create a very viable and reliable companion. However, they are also quite customizable when it comes to their looks as well. There are a total of seven different “races” that you can choose your soldier to become, and each race has 19 to 20 different cosmetic traits can be used to change the soldier’s hair style, hair color, and clothes. Each cosmetic costs 1 specific Campaign Mark and 77 Skirmish Marks and can be purchased from a Cosmetics vendor at any of the Skirmish Camps.
The following table consists of the different cosmetics available for the Elf-maiden soldier race. I would like to thank Kaelin from my kinship, The Council of the Secret Fire for all of his help with this post. He actually had all of the cosmetics available for the Elf-maiden (as well as others which will be seen in future posts) and was gracious enough to allow me to take screenshots of all the cosmetics despite the cost of constantly switching traits; not to mention all the Skirmish and Campaign marks it cost him. Thanks Kaelin!

Now this red robe is definitely better than the red thingie of the human female soldiers!

Thanks for posting this! Saves the grind just to see what the cosmetics look like. A few days back I ran a small fellowship skirmish and all three of our Soldiers were decked out in the same cosmetics!

Really helpful, the marks themselves aren’t too hard to get but the special drops can be tough to find sometimes.

Wow. Thanks a lot for this! You’ve saved me a whole bunch of Skirmish marks. I hope you can do the other soldier cosmetics too.

Any requests regarding race? Everything but the Cannuilan Marks I have in droves so I don’t wanna go spending them on Thing 1 when you’re all champing at the bit to see Thing 2.

Yes, I will be doing the other soldier cosmetics as well. I’m planning on one-a-week. Next week will be the “Woman”, followed by the “Hobbit-lass”.

Great news Merric, this will be very helpful! I can even live with my sturdy dwarf coming last.

Since no one’s mentioning a peep on Elf-sire, I may as well work on that one.

How do I actually change my companion to an elf/ elf maiden? That’s where I’m stumped…

You buy the trait for the different races from the Cosmetics Vendor in skirmish camps. In the filter drop down menu at the top, select “Soldier Races” to see all your options. Each race option costs 38 skirmish marks.

Very helpful, but I can’t help but notice that some of the hairstyles are the same. Indeed, they seem to be repeated 1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1.

The first set of headshots are for showing hair colors then the next are hair styles. There are 4 hair colors and 4 styles to choose from.
